LED's Light National Archives Doorway

National Archives Constitution Avenue entrance

The National Archives and Records Administration is replacing two 400w Metal Halide light fixtures that light the Constitution Avenue entrance with 129w LED flood light fixtures from Stouch Lighting of Aston, PA. The entrance leads to the room that once housed some of Americas greatest treasures including the Charters of Freedom, The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. The location of the light fixtures, in a high archway above the entrance, has always caused major headaches for maintenance crews. The new LED fixtures, with an 80,000 hour lifespan and 7 year warranty, will reduce maintenance costs by eliminating the need to stock replacement bulbs and ballast, eliminate the need to rent specialized equipment to reach the fixtures and reducing the time maintenance crews will have to spend replacing the bulbs and ballast. Switching such hard to reach lights to long lasting, energy efficient LED flood lights will save US taxpayers thousands of dollars over there lifetime. Waterfront restaurant, and hotel owners can also save thousands of dollars on electricity and maintenance costs. Underwater LED dock lights will beautify your docks or seawall while improving safety for your guests. They use a fraction of the power of other light fixtures and require almost no maintenance for the life of the light.
