Nova Scotia Going To All LED Streetlights

All Nova Scotia Street Lights To Be LED

The province of Nova Scotia in Canada plans to convert every street light to LED's by the year 2016. Around 120,000 street lights will be switched over at a cost of around $100 million. When the project is completed, Nova Scotia will be the first state or province in North America to use only LED streetlights. The province expects to see a 50% savings in street lighting costs when the project is finished. The city of Halifax in Nova Scotia is also planning on installing underwater LED dock lights along its waterfront.
