The city of Tulsa, Oklahoma is saving money for taxpayers by switching all of the city's street lights to LED's. The project first started in 2004 and has seen a 70% to 90% savings in electricity costs each year along with reduced maintenance costs. "We're consuming a lot less kilowatt hours and getting a big savings for our taxpaying citizens," says Tulsa Traffic Engineer Mark Brown. The city has replaced more then a thousand traffic lights just this year.
